To strengthen the impetus of Green Industries in the Global Scenario, Bengal Energy has implemented the Waste Heat-Recovery Coke oven technology which taps the heat generated during Carbonization of coal and is used to generate electricity thus, outperforming chemical by-product ovens in terms of Environment compatibility.

Bengal Energy yields a greater coke cold strength, larger average coke size and consistently higher CSR (Coke Strength after Reaction) values. All the stated parameters are vital in enhancing the blast furnace efficiency.

Power Generation
Bengal Energy’s heat recovery coke making process converts waste heat from the coking process into steam and electricity. Pollutants (volatile matter) generated in the long hours of baking coal are incinerated inside the coke ovens, eliminating the need for a chemical by-products plant and disposal of hazardous waste.
