Incorporated on 18th May , 2007 , Bengal Energy Limited (BEL) is a ISO 9001-2008 certified company situated at Dauka, P.O- Tentulmuri, PS-Narayangarh, Dist.-Paschim Medinipur, Pin-721437 in West Bengal . The company is engaged in the production of LAM Coke . BEL is known as a leading and renowned LAM COKE Producer in Eastern India, Since , 2009 with focus on long steel products and Ferro Alloys.
1 x 0.6 MTPA , Non- Recovery type Coke Oven , producing 600,000 TPA of low ash metallurgical Coke (LAM) and equipped with 1 X 40 MW power plant , being operated on coke oven gas which are the part of 1.5 MTPA Integrated Steel plant across 470 Acres of land.
The company has obtained Environment Clearance (EC) from MoeF & CC for installation of 1 X 320 M3 Blast Furnace , 1X60 Sq. M Sinter plant , additional 1 X 0.6 MTPA none recovery type of Coke Oven, 4X500 TPD + 4X350 TPD of DRI Kiln , 2 X 25 T capacity of EAF with LRF & CCM, 12X20 T capacity of Induction furnace with CCM , 4X9 MVA + 1 X 18 MVA Ferro units , 2 X 0.85 MTPA Pellet , 2 X 0.2 MTPA Rolling Mill & 2 X 120 TPD of ASU . Apart the company shall be generating 193 MW with support of waste gas & AFBC as CPP.

It is a matter of great pride for us to add to the steel making capacity of our nation”. We (BEL) have used the best of “Blast Furnace technologies”, working with MECON , Ranchi. We have commissioned our “Blast Furnace” equipped with all modern features like staves , BLT ,PCI , Filter bed SGP etc to produce 425,000 MTPA of “Liquid Iron” (popularly terms as HOT METAL). The Hot Metal is poured in the Pig Casting Machine (PCM) to produce Pig Iron.
